I have been taking it daily since I started losing and I have lost 111 lb. so far. I also took it for a while when the acid reflux first started up and gained a ton of weight. I really don't think it affects weight or hunger at all.

One thing to remember when taking it (or any acid blockers) DO NOT take it with other medications and supplements. It can block the absorption of many things, including iron. Best to take it on its own at a different time of day than everything else. I took most of my meds with breakfast but took the omeprazole with dinner. I had one more bedtime med but there was at least 2 hours between them.

ETA: I had no idea until one day, for the fun of it, I entered all of my supplements and prescriptions into a drug interaction checker on my pharmacy's website. Interesting the info that came up, some I knew and some I did not.

Nope, I lost all of my weight while being on the medication.

If anything, it's helped me to control my appetite. My compulsion whenever I'd have heartburn or reflux was to eat to settle my stomach (counterintuitive and counterproductive, I know, but the point is, I'm not doing it anymore.). Also, a serving of two Tums Smoothies has 10 calories, so there's that.
