Ok so my sister has this mysterious boyfriend that we really have no idea when she started dating him because she hides people. He is organizing this benefit event for his mom who has cancer. I have never met him or his mom and my mom has met him once. My mom is making a huge deal about getting people to come to this benefit, calling in favors from people, trying to get celebrities there and all this. But I have been talking to her about the annual walk we have for the incurable brain condition I have and she hasn't even bothered to sign up for it yet, let alone tell anybody else about it and try to get some support. It makes me feel kinda messed up. Don't get me wrong, I totally feel for his mom, but it bothers me that my mom is doing all this for people that she doesn't know, but for me she seems really uninterested.
