Keeping weight off

I have gone from 65kg to 58kg in the past 6 months, I want to reach 55kg.I'm still planning to continue my calorie deficit but instead of losing 0.8kg every week I want to lose 0.5kg then gradually 0.2 then maintain. I'm afraid my body is used to having around 1500 calories that I might gain all my weight again if I eat at my maintenance level which is 2100 calories. Good idea? Any advice?
