Neither is inherently better or worse. You can do either of them well and balanced or completely f*** it up and suffer from malnutrition.
Arguably it might be harder to completely f*** up an omnivorous diet.

I've been vegan for 8 years and I don't feel any better or any worse than I did before. Well, actually maybe except right after eating something like a big greasy burger, I used to feel like crap eating that sort of food and the vegan versions don't generally give me issues.

being vegan is totally an ethical choice for me. It's something that I know is right for me in my heart and it gives me a clear conscious.

I haven't had any negative side affects from being vegan but I did go get my cholesterol checked and my total cholesterol is super low, I'm not sure if that's all from diet since you only get about 15% from your food, your body should make more, but it's something I'm conscious of now and will make an effort to raise. Which apparently means I have to eat more protein and fat. Which sounds awesome to me.

    Lastly - Oreos are Vegan
That settles it. I'm going vegan!

I had to verify the vegan-ness of Oreos. Turns out there is a plethora of accidentally vegan food.

"“Accidentally vegan” foods are those that were not created intentionally to be marketed to vegan* eaters."

Not sure you understand the underlying cause of most people's nearsightedness.
I do, I've read all about it.
