Hi, I started my weight loss journey about six weeks ago, and I just started noticing a difference. I started by working out and not really watching what I was eating and the scale remained the same. I then heard about my fitness pal app and logging food, and started trying to cut down to close to 1200 calories per day. I try to exercise several times a wee,k but honestly I feel as though I am driving blind. I am not really sure what the best workouts are, or how to eat properly. I have started doing some research and hope to become more knowledgeable soon. I decided to introduce myself in the hopes of maybe picking a few brains, and getting some feedback. A few things about me, I have been a yoyo dieter most of my life, and I have always been overweight. As an adult my highest weight was 235 and lowest was 168. I am currently 201 and I am 5 ft. 9.5 inches tall. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and thank you for taking the time to read my intro.

i can totally relate ...it took me six months of working out with no results on the scale BEFORE i decided to "clean up" my food choices LOL once i did the scale finally started moving .....i've been on a steady program of cardio (walking/jogging/eliptical) and weights ....i think the best cardio is walking BUT you can definitely burn more calories jogging , and even if you can only jog some and walk some technically thats considered interval training wich burns maximum calories !! since starting myfitnesspal and tracking calories , i've decided to buy a calorie counter/pedometer , that way i could track more accurately how much i can eat ...keep up the good work and just know that its a slow process so don't be in a hurry !!
