starving the last few days - diary opinions?

I have focused on eating in the past to the point where I try to eat 'perfectly' and I get really crazy about making 'mistakes' and am unhappy and can't sustain it. That said, I know my choices aren't perfect, but I'm losing slowly, steadily, and happily. I'd like help because I've felt STARVING the last few days and would love opinions on things I could try tweaking to help.

I suspect the cereal/milk/banana breakfasts could be improved. I did oatmeal for years but I like the cold wet texture of cereal with fruit. Protein at breakfast has helped in the past but I have been struggling to get into a routine that is fast and includes protein.

(also, the missing 3 weeks were my recent honeymoon in S. America. No computers. No tracking. I lost ~4 lb! I'm very proud.)

TIA

Yeah, exactly what you said. Protein in the morning helps sustain satiety. A couple scrambled eggs (140 calories) takes the same amount of time as oatmeal?

Also, you don't need to answer publicly, but sometimes as a girl, time of month makes some difference (if it was really only just the last few days and not an ongoing thing).

Well, if you aren't eating enough (like, why aren't you eating the calories you "earn" by exercise?) You'll be hungry.

Hit those Protein and Fat macros first, then fill in with Carbs. Don't under eat. Eat exercise calories. It doesn't really matter that much what you eat to hit those macros, just do whatever you like to eat.

Carb-heavy meals are usually not as satiating as meals with sufficient protein and fats.
