I totally can relate. I don't know what your status is, but after 7 months I am finally at a point where I feel I can begin to work my hamstrings and glutes (my quads are too strong and pull my patella out of joint). The hard part is trying not to gain weight, because I cannot do all the activity I usually do! While the sports therapist recommended I stay at 1200 calories/day (yikes!) I've only been able to keep it at 1700-1800 for months, and recently I am down to 1500-1600cal. So, yeah, I've gained some weight, but now that my leg is feeling better, I can slowly exercise more and start to look at losing weight.
Please remember that this is just a bump in the road. You will not always be injured, and all we can do is our best. I know it's frustrating, but you can do it!!
