    Calorie deficit.

Set up your MFP account, obtain your calorie goal, maintain said calorie goal, lose weight.

Forget diets, they set you up for failure.

Eat in a caloric deficit. Eat what you want.

    do this:
enter your stats into MFP and set for one pound per week loss
eat to the number that MFP gives you
    log everything you eat
get a food scale and weight all solid foods and as many liquids as possible
find a form of exercise that you like (not necessary) and do it
don't by into all this BS about good and bad foods, there are no good and bad foods there is just food that you use for energy and nutrients. Make sure you are getting the majority of foods from nutrient dense source, but eating ice cream, cookies, etc is OK.
    make sure you hit macros/micros

repeat until you get desired results..

^ Agreed with both. Logging your food keeps you accountable and allows for flexibility within a calorie deficit to find what works best for you.

Eat anything you want, in a deficit diet.

This is the beauty of MFP. You don't need any type of "diet plan." All you do is measure, weigh and log all your food, and track how many calories you eat, and stay within the calorie limit MFP sets for you. THAT'S IT. You don't need anything else to lose weight.

Log, log, log! Find what works for you. I have triggers (ummm, Oreos. Can't just have 1. I have to have 6...) and I avoid those things. Find your triggers and don't eat them! Eat to your calorie amount with a 1 - 1.5 calorie reduction. Oh. And if you do log don't eat back your calories spent. I've seen people put doing dishes (or the like- I haven't really seen dishes) as a calorie user. Really?! (Ok, if you have to eat back calories, I hear people I here say they eat back half of what mfp says!)

You have to have exactly 6? So you have oreOCD?
