Seren Oils

The gal at the health food store talked me into these when I told her I was taking fish oil supplements to help with my complexion and hair health, also because I don't really enjoy eating fish so I miss out on the health benefits of doing such.

Now I'm searching for reviews and info on this product but not finding much. Did I get duped? Are these worth it or should I just go back to regular fish oil? The label touts GLA, ALA, EPA and DHA. Ingredients contain Essential fatty acids such as Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA), Borage Oil, Flax Seed Oil, Omega 3, & Vitamin E.

Info from people well versed in supplements & nutrition would be very helpful!
Here's a link to the product: http://bullenutrition.com/Products.aspx

Thanks!

From reading around, sounds like seren oils contains flaxseed oil and a few other plant oils. My guess is plain old lflaxseed oil or your fish oil would work as well and would be cheaper.

For those on blood thinners like me, these products can be harmful since they further reduce clotting. I wouldn't use them without consulting your doctor who may need to adjust your blood thinner dosage.

Thanks Vin, I'm not on any medications or under a doctors care, so I think I'll give them a try. We'll see. You're definitely right about fish oil being cheaper, but I liked that this included the flax seed oil, which I'm trying to increase. I'll see how it goes, if I don't notice a difference when I run out I'll probably go back to regular old fish oil :)
