    Definitely weigh your food!
You'll see results depending on your eating habits (calorie deficit) and exercice. I know that's not the answer you wanna hear but it really does all depend on you. I saw results within two or three weeks.
Food with high protein keeps me full.

Weighing food is the secret weapon of successful 'losers'. I weigh everything in grams then post to my diary each day. Gives you a road map to live--and lose--by.

Took me about 3 weeks until I started seeing results, losing 1-2 pounds a week after that, then later slowing down to 1/2 to 1 pound a week. Don't give up now. Patience is a must when it comes to weight loss. Your body will retain fluid when you're working out so don't be disappointed if it takes a few weeks to see things change.

OK I've been on mfp for 17 days and kept weighing myself almost everyday and nothing changed stayed at or under 1200 cals and exercise 3x a week so I was getting upset but now I know to weigh my foods I need to get a scale and stay away from weighing myself for a while.

yes weigh ALL your solid food....dont go by cups/spoons or serving sizes. Most of the time that is very inaccurate.

Since i start weighing my food i lost 94 pounds
    It really helps!!

Weighing food and accurate logging is essential. I started noticing within a month.

If your exercise is new, you could delay weight loss (scale) since that exercise may force you to retain a bit of water. -- just something to keep in mind.

As far as helpful foods, I like "Flatout Flatbread" - My worst meal was Lunch; just never seemed to 'get it' and I was never full. these flatbreads are a handy way to reduce calories and stuff some seriously good food into a hand-held lunch. Couple these with shredded chicken breasts and or tuna add some spinach, and it works for me

that is because you probably not weighing :) and you eat more calories than you think
Just start doing it right and you will lose weight
It also depends how much deficit you create and how much you have to lose for a healthy weight range.
People who have less to lose can lose much slower :)

But you will lose when you stick around your calorie allowance and weigh your food
On top of you calorie allowance only eat 50% of you exercise calories back ( this because they can be over estimated)

I love cottage cheese, 1 slice of toast with grass fed butter and some fruit, 2 eggs with fruit, banana pancakes (1 banana mashed with 1 egg and fry it up)... other than that I basically eat the same stuff over and over!

Yes to weighing food. It's the best gift you can give yourself. No point in putting in so much work if you're going to mistakenly and unknowingly sabotage your efforts.

    Good luck!!

Pfft... it'll take what it takes. Figure about about a pound each week; anything more will be gravy!

I've been an "egg" guy forever on breakfast -- still working one egg and about double that in eggwhites; while it may sound nasty, a few beans in your omelette will help keep you fuller longer (glycemic index stuff) while adding protein and a few carbs.

Id go with a protein and fat based breakfast, low carb, and not necessarily low calorie. People dieting tend to avoid fat as it's calorie dense... Don't! You need fat for good health and it's a great energy source

I like a bacon, egg, and cheese taco. When I make it it comes to ~250-300 cals. 1 slice bacon crumbled, 1 egg or 3 tbsp egg beater, small tortilla, shredded cheese and salsa. Pair with some fruit or berries.
