Completely broke my confidence [scale fail]. Manager to the rescue with NSV.

Have you ever been weighing yourself consistently, see a promising trend in dropping weight... Only to soon realize your dial scale was going derpy, even if you checked and rechecked, AND got on slow to watch the dial move?
Finally gave up and bought a digital scale [that also tracks weight for two users]... Only 6lbs over what the dial had said, but it pushed me right back into the 170s. I was so excited to FINALLY be in the 160s again... 169 is where my BMI goes to 'overweight' instead of 'obese'. I was so proud of myself.
I know it should motivate me that I'm so close to being there, but instead I almost feel as if I gained the weight back instead of it being a misread. Was a killer blow.
NSV from today... One of my managers and I were talking during lunch, and she brought up that she was impressed with how much weight I've lost/am losing, and that it was REALLY visible. And that I'd lost even a bit more while she was on vacation [full last week, returned to work today]. It really meant a lot to me, especially since the crushed confidence from the few days before.
If you see someone's changes, even if it is a little bit, tell them. Just tell them it is noticeable. You may have just saved all of their progress so far.

OMG. This happened tI me last week. I was so excited that I was finally under 170. I thought I was 165 according to my "reliable"'scale. Bought digital and totally blew my mind. I'm 174.4. It really bummed me out. To think that I was even heavier when I started. I'm doing to befriend you!!0
