Ballet Barre

Hello!

I have recently started taking a ballet barre class, and I was very surprised to see that this isn't an exercise that is in the database. They have all manner of other exercises, including grooming horses and sports I've never even heard of, but no barre workouts? I can't look at workout dvds anywhere and not find a barre one...is there any way that MFP can get some info on this and add it to the data base?

Thanks!

That strikes me as something that would be wildly variable, based on the instructor, the types and speeds of choreography, and the effort put in by the dancer. I would log it as anything from yoga to zumba... >_< A heart-rate monitor for yourself might help a little (I am picturing this and it is a totally awkward visual, depending on the dress code of your class - if they have one.), but ballet really isn't a "steady state" sort of cardio activity.

Yeah. Zumba isn't in there either. It's a strange database. I call zumba moderate intensity general aerobics. Maybe try that?
