I have successfully lost 25lbs using MFP and exercising. I am now down to the last 10-13lbs, but MFP has increased my daily calories by 650. Any idea why it has done this and if I can change it back to what the calorie allowance was set at previously?

Can you give some more details? What was your old calorie allotment, what has it become? How tall are you? Did you change your activity level? How often do you exercise? Also, how long has it been since you changed your calories? I know MFP changed some settings a while ago.

Check your activity level. When I changed it from Sedentary to Active, I suddenly had 700 more calories per day. (I'm suppose to eat 3000+ calories to maintain my weight after a 10 mile run. Gah! I don't know how to eat that much any more without going to a FF restaurant and sucking down grease!)

Also see if you reached the goal weight you put into your fitness profile. MFP may have switched you over to maintaining that weight.

My old calories were 1200 and it has been changed to 1850. I'm 5ft 1" and my activity level is set at lightly active and I haven't changed that. For exercise I walk 10miles 5-6 days a week. I have never changed my calories since starting using MFP.

Go to http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/change_goals_guided and see if anything is not what you expect.

Thanks everyone. kshama2001, thank you for the link. Everything was correct but by clicking update, it has reverted back to my old calorie allowance. Maybe it's a glitch with the App, and I have to change goal weight on the website instead.
