    Hi everyone,

I turn 50 on Monday. I am like the rest of you in that it is very difficult to lose weight. I need to lose at minimum 30 pounds and can't seem to get a grip on all of this. It's very easy to put the weight on. I've never been this heavy. I have a gut that makes me look 5 months pregnant. I hate it and am so disappointed in me. Never thought I'd let it get so out of control, but I have. Ugh!
  • Hello all! This fitness pal is new for me. I have been on sooo many diets. I lose weight then gain back or can only stay on diet for 2-3 weeks then lose interest. I am 59 and just started Plexus Slim and they recommended a 1200 cal diet, I am hoping I will use the pal everyday to keep me honest! I would like to lose about 30 pounds and get toned up. I would like some friends to talk to and encourage each other on here.

I am a 55 year old woman who has struggled with my weight since I turned 40. I was an at home mom & always moving with little ones and weighed 125-135, then when I turned 40, I began working where I was always surrounded by potlucks, birthdays, retirement parties-food, food, food! And not good food like my heathy home cooked meals: fast food, junk food, sweets and anything on the go. In addition, my husband & I began eating out more. I have packed on 50 lbs in 13 years and it has affected my mood & my health. It is a VERY slow process but I've lost 4 lbs on MFP since June 21st of this year. I need support with exercise (I love gardening) and my cravings for bread and/or sugar.
