    What about this: go to the forum pages, check out the topmost discussions which are introductory, read about the most commonly agreed ways people use mfp (buying a food scale, weighing your food, temporarily cut out certain foods if you can not handle the cravings, start working out regularly).     Do you accurately weigh, measure and log everything calorific that goes in to your mouth?

    Are you aiming for quick/drastic weight loss, or do you have a reasonable (more sustainable) deficit?

    Do you eat sufficient protein and fat - this may help with feeling more satisfied and not craving sugar...

    stop trying stuff

    - weigh your food on a digital scale
    - log carefully and accurately, double-checking existing MFP estimates
    - stick to your calorie defecit across the week
    - move more
    - lift heavy things (not necessary for weight loss but really great for your body)
    - repeat until all weight has gone
    - repeat to maintain with a few more calories

    stop trying stuff - just commit
