Harris Benedict Formula estimates the daily calories you require or roughly !

So how much of these calories should I be taking as part of my diet to build more muscle and not put on extra weight?

Did you run it through http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/? You can choose Harris and it will tell you your BMR and TDEE (to maintain weight!). If you want to build muscle, you need to eat at a surplus which will equate to some weight gain and then you go into a cutting a cycle.

You will not put on muscle (or very much of it) while maintaining, this will essentially be a "recomp" not building mass.

Hi Gia I worked this out pen on paper I understand this is not accurate but gives you a rough estimate.
what you say is understandable it didn't make sense to me either to main a weigh and not see gains. Which is why I wanted to calculate how much protein Carbs and fat I should be consuming to build muscle.
