Hello all!
So I cycle a great deal and I can usually do pretty high intensity exercise for quite a while, however today I struggled to do it for half an hour and felt very dizzy and faint. I did quite a strenuous workout yesterday, burning over 1500 calories, so I was wondering if this could be the cause? How can I restore my stamina to a previous state, do I need a rest day?

When was your last rest day?
What is your calorie intake like?

My last rest day was Tuesday. I keep a net calorie intake of 1600-1700 most days, consuming around 2100 and burning 500 for example.

A large deficit and a heavy exercise schedule aren't a good fit.

What does cycling "a great deal" mean?

How quickly are you losing weight?

Simple solution could be a smaller calorie deficit and fuelling your rides better.

I am not a cyclist, but as a runner, I have experience this kind of thing before. It usually is a sign that I need to take a rest or recovery day. It's especially important when exercising in the heat and humidity. I am not sure what the weather has been like where you are, but as temperatures and humidity increase, you need to slow down and give your body time to adjust.
