I have PCOS and Hashimoto's and I've managed to lose by eating less than I burn (CICO - calories in < calories out). If you are doing everything right, like weighing all soild food and measuring all liquid that goes in your mouth, and are still not losing then I would speak to your doctor.
My endocrinologist wanted to see if I could impact my insulin resistance before putting me on Metformin. She said if I continue to do everything right and can't manage to lose then she'd start me on meds. As for the Hashimoto's, it's only a matter of time before my thyroid fails and I'm on medication for life. Since I've not had to be medicated for anything this far I cannot speak to what loss is like if you already are on meds and how the process works to find appropriate dosages. Again, that would be a speak to your doctor situation.0 -

Dr. Jeffrey Brown trains Olympians with thyroid issues - highlighting that you have to adjust how you train. Assuming your TSH levels are stable along with T4, T3, and RT3 then you shouldn't have problems losing abiding by CICO.
I had a total thyroidectomy 15 years ago and slowly put on weight due to lack of exercise mostly. Once I started with MFP and logging my activity I've lost 54lbs.
Good luck! Finding a physician willing to work with you is key.0 -

I have Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease), and I lost more slowly than most MFPers—so be patient! But I did it just like everybody else—by learning to log everything I eat & drink accurately & honestly. I followed the advice in the Sexypants post: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1
@IrishChik pointed you to a PCOS group. There are thyroid groups & UK groups, too:
