I could use any advice...
I've been at it for a while. I lose it, gain more, lose it, gain some, lose it..
I had a complete hysterectomy in 2001, and up until about a year ago I could lose easily. A year ago I noticed more around my mid-section and it has been progressively getting worse. The charming doctor I had said "eat less". News flash genius, I eat about 1200 calories a day. Is it not enough protein? Too many carbs? Not enough of the right exercise? I just don't know where to restart.
I have to add that I sit most of the day, except for a few trips across to our other building.

I am 50 and in menopause I guess...weird to put that on paper!
I find that even at 1200 calories a day if I'm not careful with where those come from I will stall out. The past couple of weeks, I've included bread in my 1200 calories daily just because of cravings...while still staying under calories, the weight is not coming off at all. If most of those calories are from lean proteins, fruits and vegetables, I will see a lost.0 -
I find that if I cut carbs completely it comes off, but that's not easy to do.0

MFP has a Near or Post Menopausal group: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/506-near-or-post-menopausal-group
Open your diet for personalized advice, but you're not maintaining on 1,200 calories. I'm 47, 5'2" & 120 lbs. with a desk job, and I eat 1,800–2,000 calories.
Have you read the Sexypants post? So much good "how-to" info: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p10
