Fitbit/walkmeter sync question

I used my fitbit fora few workouts and after say a 5 mile walk, it's saying I'm burning like maybe 200 calories and the distance it says I walk isn't right at all. One walk was about a mile short according to my fitbit. Today I decided to give it a shot doing both Walkmeter and Fitbit doing a 5k walk/jog with the dog. My personal stats are inputted in both units and while the distance was pretty ok this time, fitbit says I burned 119 calories and my walkmeter says I did 316 calories. Which do I believe and how can I get the fitbit to show the same as walkmeter on MFP?

To get an accurate distance, you need to calibrate your stride length: http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/How-do-I-measure-and-adjust-my-stride-length
As for burn, trust your Fitbit! I lost the weight & have maintained for a year thanks to Fitbit + MFP, so I know my burn is 100% accurate.
