A friend of mine purees veggies in the food processor and mixes them into spaghetti sauce. All her sauces, really, contain hidden fruits and veggies. She says it's easier than fighting with her kids, lol.

But veggies taste good! People should just learn how to cook them properly.

I get the difficulties with picky children, although somehow my parents just told us we had to eat our veggies and it wasn't a big issue (and as a child I cooked my own breakfast and made my own lunch starting pretty early since I hated all cold cereal and sliced bread--as I called the supermarket, non bakery/homemade kind--so certainly was ridiculously picky).

I do like tossing a bunch of extra veggies in a meat sauce--typically whatever I have on hand that seems like it would taste good in there. It tends to double the number of servings I can get out of it and allow me to have a one-dish meal if I like. Even just chopped up I don't think it would be that noticeable with the meat and tomatoes and pasta too.

    Works great with chili too.
