Do you guys think its possible, or healthy, to lose 40 lbs in 3 months. See I'm an honor student in High school and I'm afraid I won't have time once school starts.

To lose 40lbs in 3 months you would have to lose around 3.3lbs each week. I think most people say a healthy weight loss is around 2lbs per week, but you may find you lose more then 3lbs the first couple of week and then it will start to slow down as your body gets use to your new eating habits and active lifestyle.
My personal opinion is that your target might be a little high but i'm sure if you are really determined and able to work out pretty much every day it may be achievable

I have lost 27 lbs in 45 days. Like the above poster says, the first week or so, I cut out soda and drank water and Juices and lost 11 lbs pretty quick. So yeah I think you could but even if you don't lose the whole 40 lbs, you will lose weight ,feel better, look better (its amazing how little weight loss makes a difference in how clothes fit) and you will be eating better. So give it a shot, You have nothing to lose but weight. Good luck and work the plan it works!!!0

healthy ? No not really
how old are you ?0 -
If you wnat to lose weight in a healthy sustained way and keep it off, then you should be aiming for 1-2lb a week. Considering you only have 40lb to lose, then 1lb a week would be more realistic. You will get an initial boost in the beginning from water weight loss, but the closer you get to target the harder it gets.
So its a NO.0 -
Nope.
Also, think about what you said, 'I'm afraid I won't have time once school starts'.
So what happens if you lose the weight, and the school starts? Will you continue exercising? Weighing and logging all your food? If not, then you are just going to go back to your old habits and put all that weight back on again. Stop focusing on the short term and consider the long term. Make this a lifestyle change that you can keep up whether you are at school or not, not a 'crash diet'.0
