Skip the shakes. Eat real food.
Eat things you like, just in reasonable portions.
Stop thinking of it as a diet. Diets are temporary. Once you go back to eating the way you were eating, you'll
go back to weighing what you were weighing.
Make permanent changes to your life - both what you eat & how much you exercise - that you will continue.

That includes a link to a calculator from the Baylor College of Medicine which will tell you not only your BMI, but
how many calories and how many servings of the various food groups you should be eating to maintain any weight.
Put in your healthy goal weight (makes the BMI between 18.5 - 24.9), eat what it shows.

BTW, healthy 600-cal dinners I'd like...
    salmon, brown rice, broccoli
chicken (or tofu) & veggie stir fry over noodles
pasta with meat & veggies, lotsa parmesan (love me some parmesan!)
pizza - make your own with lean beef or chicken, veggies, red sauce, mozzarella, thin crust - and beer

And of course, save room for ice cream, frozen custard, frozen yogurt, pudding, jello, fruit, or whatever your
favorite treat is. If you want to keep this up for life, you can't deprive yourself.

Sound advice MKEgal and i agree, don't go for the quick fix 'diet' make life long changes that you can stick to, it may a time a little while longer but the weight will stay off.
