My daughter years back after it was raining noticed something. It wasn't raining anymore but the was a stream of water flowing down the street. She asked dad why is their a stream of water when it hasn't rained for a long time(evidently a few hours is a long time for a kid). I took her hand and walked her up the hill of our neighborhood until we reached our highest point. At the top I reached in my pocket and grabbed a receipt turned it into a ball and placed it on the street. I asked her what happened to it. She looked at it sitting still and she said nothing is happening. It's getting a little wet. I replied right because the yards are sweating water and it's slowly wetting the street. I have her kick the paper ball down the street to the next house. I ask what's different she looks down and says it's wetter here. I say that's right there is more water here the water flowing from one house up plus the water from this house. She kicks the paper down more. What she started to notice as we pass down a few more houses the once damp to wet road a stream appears. The paper barely moves with it but the stream is affecting the papers position from time to time. We follow the stream and soon we don't have to nudge the paper anymore. It is freely moving and starts to pick up speed. Then suddenly it slows to an almost stop. What happened? It stopped. But why? Because the slope even out for a bit. But watch, the paper slowly moved to the edge before the new slope and suddenly over and passed through the stream. Follow it past the house and down the street to a four way stop. There is a huge body of water there collected and the paper again is neither rushing toward nor standing still. Eventually it once again finds the slope and goes down another block. After a while it is speeding down rapidly until it goes down the drainage for the street. We arrive and I have her listen. Under the street in the drainage hole you can hear water. Lots of water. It sounds loud like a water fall. What is happening I ask. She said a little water starts to fall down and along the way it's meets other water doing the same thing. More and more until it becomes so much it becomes really big and fast. It was at that moment a light bulb went off and I thought of my MFP app. Weight loss and exercise is like the water. At first you barely can tell it's there. As you keep working you get stronger and skinnier. Sometimes it goes fast, sometimes it slows to almost a stop but as long as you keep adding to the pool it moves forward and eventually becomes an unstoppable river. You can't expect the river of fitness to stay is you stop it will eventually dry up. So if your have trouble losing weight fast remember one rain drop alone goes no where but the more that fall the further goes. How far do you want to travel, and are willing to wait if as the slope evens out a bi
