Still not understanding this whole weight loss thing.
I have checked lots and lots of threads about TDEE, BMR Etc but it's just making me more confused.
Any forum posts people can link to me?

BMR - Basal metabolic rate - the amount of cals your body burns merely existing, zero activity, comatose.
TDEE - Total daily energy expenditure - the amount of cals your body burns all day when you're active, so BMR + walking, working, chores, workouts, etc.
The goal is to eat in between these two numbers - above BMR, below TDEE, to lose weight, or mosre specifically FAT, while maintaining lean muscle. Most take a 15-20% cut from their TDEE number, and that's their daily goal. Since exercise is included in the TDEE calculation, exercise calories are not eaten back.
