Anyone go from an extremely unhealthy diet to very clean diet?

    Yes - I did about a year ago and it was very effective while I was doing it. I ate almost entirely fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts and seeds. No animal products at all. It was extremely low calorie which caused rapid weight loss. The trick was to have fruit for breakfast and very large salads with healthy dressing for lunch and dinner. Plus lots of cooked and raw veggies. I was following Dr. Fuhrman's plan in the book Eat To Live.

    Filling up on the most nutrient dense foods possible was the trick. I rarely felt hungry and felt very healthy. Big salads with lots of veggies really fill you up. I often loaded a romaine salad up with peas and onions. I would also add black beans to salad. They keep you full for a long time.

    I'm enjoying MFP now - I like the variety of food I can eat and am learning how to hit my calorie targets.
