Thinking about my future weight loss and all the outfits I'm going to be buying when I hit my goal.

How great I felt when I was in shape and the lowest I ever was pre-babies. I still have 25 lbs to go to get there but have been pretty determined and motivated so far. Just now I am starting to get a tad bit unmotivated because the weight loss is slowing down. :( still giving her my all tho! Add me if you like :)

I don't know. I guess it was just the last piece of my life that wasn't under control and I just decided that it is time to fix that. Over the past 7 years or so I have worked on living more mindfully. I have taken on new challenges and spent the past 6 years in the martial arts becoming more aware of my own body and developing stronger self confidence and self worth. It led me to a better career path and into a more comfortable living environment. The new and better me deserved to inhabit a body that better reflects who I have become.

I've been focused on weight loss since late March and am down 24 pounds already. Every day I notice that I feel a little better. My knees don't hurt as much. My clothes are fitting better and getting to the point I might really have to get some new, smaller ones. I still have an old shirt that fit me back in 2000 when I was well over 300 pounds. It hangs on me like a dress. I keep it as a reminder that I have come a very long way. I was a very different person back then and I never want to go back to that place again.

I am so fortunate to have wonderful supportive friends who encourage me and are not afraid to tell me truths that might sometimes be hard to hear. They don't make a huge deal about my loosing weight but they do let me know that they see my effort and are proud of me for what they know is not an easy thing.

I can't say there is one thing that motivates me. For me it is just the right time and the right place brought about by some long years of hard work. Every day just trying to be a little bit better version of myself than I was the day before. :)
