What are the best protein shakes for muscle gain?

I have achieved my goal weight!! Now I need to work on building muscle! What are some suggestions for protein shakes that aren't really expensive yet get the job done?!

    How about you get your protein from food before you worry about protein shakes?

    Protein shakes dont help you gain muscle. Resistance training and eating in a slight caloric surplus help you gain muscle.

    I'd actually recommend eating a banana and a protein shake of your choice (I like to make smoothies using Quest "multi-use" or something powder, because it's enough to make up for the loss of calories, gives me my healing power, and takes care of my hunger for awhile.

    For muscle gain, I'd recommend strength training and upping your calories (slowly, no more than 200 per day). What's worked for me is a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight, 1/2 gram of carbs per pound, and 1/2 gram of fat per pound - give or take.
