Hi I'm 58 a vegetarian and still trying to lose weight. I did my fitness pal a couple of years ago and lost 50 lbs. But I started going back to my old ways and gained it back plus 20. The weight along with my age is taking its toll on me. I can't gain another pound as I am headed down a road that will immobolize me. It makes me mad as I have for most of my life been able to function at a big size. I was strong and fit. I'm tired of all my drs trying to get me to do surgery. I'm not having lap band. When I tell them I'm working on losing, they say good you have to show you can lose before surgery can take place. I feel bad enough already, I don't need lap band making me feel even worse. So the last time here I had a few freinds and would like to have some again. Don't need to be a vegetarian, I live with carnivores. I don't eat meat, because I'm a animal lover and while I have eaten meat in my life, it's been around 30 years since I have. So my ideal of vegetarian is not like some. I wish. But I kind of eat starchy bad things and things others do, just without any meat. Cheese is a main stay for me. Try to make sure it's a vegetarian kind. Freinds, I need freinds to get excited about this weight loss, count those calories kind of stuff.
