Yesterday i done a 'little' arms workout with my boyf & he put me through my pases, cooled down & stretched off however i'm feeling extremely sore, normally stretching is enough & bareable however my arms are in bits. Any tips or products used to release aching/pain i heard tiger balm is supposed to help?

For legs, I suggest a foam roller, and for arms, I like a good tennis ball or lacrosse ball. I roll it into the muscles to massage them and help increase circulation - thereby helping to speed the "recovery" process along.0

For arms take a long shower and massage your biceps and triceps with warm water running on them!0

Of course, I remember the first time I lifted heavy I felt like I was going to die and could barely wash my own hair but after I massaged my muscles my arms felt much better!0

The thing was i was only lifting 10kg. I'm not used to training my arms nor lifting weights, on my legs year but not upper body half. Little baby weights for me0 -
Well its because youre body isn't used to it. It's called DOMS..delayed onset muscle soreness; whenever you are working a muscle that you don't normally or changing up routines you are likely to experience it.0

Yep. And I notice DOMS is sometimes accompanied by a slight tick upwards on the scale as the muscles hold water.
And don't worry about "only" 10kg--it doesn't matter at all where you start! You got this.0 -
For DOMS, protein, some light stretching, steam room and even some cardio will help. It'll increase blood flow, help with recovery and help loosen/warm up your muscles. Ibuprofen will even help because your muscles are inflamed when you have DOMS. I usually welcome DOMS with open arms, it's an indicator that you're still pushing your muscles enough to cause micro tears, which can result in growth:).0
