Grrrr, things are becoming hard to sit on.

Has anyone else noticed, that as we progress through this weight loss journey, that things that usually felt comfortable to sit on, are now becoming annoyingly hard and irritating?

IE: my bum is becoming boney, and sometimes benches and things hurt to sit on!!!

Do I need to carry a pillow around with me from now on? Is this a common issue for folks who are at optimal weight? Am I just imagining this? Is the world really made up of hard surfaces that I didn't realize when I had my own built in cushion?

Or, does bum muscle eventually make it all SOFT again?

HELP?

It doesn't get better. I sometimes feel like I'm a delicate princess with a pea under my mattress.

And, some surfaces seem to compress leg nerves leading to aching legs...just from sitting.

Squats and deadlifts help. You may desensitize a bit over time. You may adjust your "approach" to sitting over time. When I'm heavy, I don't want to go down very far to sit. When I'm fit, I'll just ragdoll on the floor with my legs crossed, because getting back up again is no trouble.

I've been at a healthy weight most of my life. I've never noticed this. But, I do carry most of my muscle and fat in my bum/legs.

You don't have to use the squat rack right away - body-weight squats are a good starting point :)
