Aim for loss of 1lb / week or step it up to 1.5lbs? Experience?

New to mfp and wondering if I should step it up or if slow and steady wins the race?

    With only 14 pounds to lose, half a pound a week is where it's at. The winner gets to eat the most and still lose!

    I would suggest trying half a pound a week to start and see how you feel. When I first started MFP I set it to lose half a pound a week and for the first 2 months I lost a pound a week without really trying.

    I started with 2 lbs/week, but then tried 1.5 lbs/week which ended up just feeling better. The extra snacks it afforded me here and there helped me feel more fulfilled foodwise.

    Half a pound will be better, since you don't have much to lose

    Thank you guys! It's great to hear your thoughts. I think this program is just the tops. I already feel so much better and I'm still really enjoying eating, maybe even more than before!
