For several years I took care of my husband who had had a major stroke at age 64 followed by colostomy, and 3X week kidney dialysis. So much of what he went through was due to his obesity. He was hypertensive, diabetic and plagued with recurrent bacteria infections. He died last year from another stroke. While my health is still pretty good I know have to change what I can and get back to healthy eating. I understand most of the metabolic facts but the emotional aspects of eating the wrong things still gets in my way.
