I hope this isn't a stupid question but I want to know if I over ate X amount of calories today can I work them off tomorrow? Or does everyday need to be less calories in than out?
I over ate today but it's to late for me to work out tonight. I'm really new to counting calories and I just want to do things the right way.

A lot of people use a weekly goal. So instead of saying my goal each day is to eat 1500 cal and exercise for 30 min, it would be my goal each week is 10500 calories and to exercise 150 minutes. So yes it's okay. Your body doesn't keep a clock.

One day is not going to sink the boat. Think about it: it took years and years of you overeating to gain all the weight you're now trying to lose.

Ok so as long as by the end of the week everything adds up.

I know I'm just trying to stay on track I'm new to this. I'm not trying to lose it overnight.

And thank you! A weekly goal makes sense. I mean I am trying to lose a weekly weight.
