Need help flavoring snacks

How do I get powdered spices and salt to stick to snacks like pretzels and home made potato chips? The stuff doesn't stay on the snacks I don't have a problem with oils, butters, and liquid or semi-liquid seasonings lol.

I coat my stuff with a little bit of olive oil to make it stick. I heard that other people use those aerosol kitchen sprays with cooking oil in them too.

I just lay them all out in the tray and give a quick spray of extra-virgin olive oil all over and then sprinkle whatever on top

Thanks ladies! Tried this out, and yep, works like a charm. I wonder why it didn't occur to me though! I guess I thought they'd get all soggy!!
