Ok, so I have to eat two of my meals at my desk each day...or at least, I do eat two of my meals at my desk each day. I will prepare a healthy meal. I will log that meal. But after an hour or two I realize that I have only eaten about half of it. I forget to go in and redo my quantities. I am wondering if I am not losing because I am not eating enough calories.

Any suggestions...other than the obvious...Eat the food that I prepare.

how do you forget you only ate half meal?

either eat all of it- or don't' log all of it.

    I don't understand what's the confusion here.

Nutritional labeling works with a very large factor of error ~20%, so your best guess homecooked meals are likely within that same range of error. I overestimate my calorie intake and underestimate my exercise to maintain a deficit.

I do the same sometimes when I advance log, but this shouldn't inhibit weight loss.

    This ^^ is impossible.

I would suggest not pre-logging your meals. Log after you eat. If you haven't eaten it all, then don't log it all.

Just go in and adjust the quantity that you logged when you do remember. Then eat something else in its place if you have calories left. I'm not understanding the problem.

No. Dieters don't actually stop losing weight due to "starvation mode": http://www.aworkoutroutine.com/starvation-mode/

Truth. Your body doesn't stop burning calories for fuel simply because you're eating less, it just doesn't work that way. If you aren't losing weight then you're eating more calories than your body is burning. It is almost always that simple.
