What to eat

I like to think I'm open to most foods from something deep fried to broccoli. I personally have lost most of the weight I have so far by portion sizing rather than what is eaten. Admittedly on days I've had snacky food I don't really 'get' much else. It all works out.
Do you think what your eating is more or less important than portioning any food?

The number of calories you eat is important to lose weight.
The quality of calories is important for health.
Are you meeting macro goals (protein, fat, and carbs)? snacks are okay in moderation. But if you are not meeting protein and fat goals....that's not healthy weight loss.0
