Workout after donating blood?

So I donated blood around 0730 this morning and their usual over-cautionary statement is no working out today. But it's not skip day and I feel fine. I just really hate skipping. Anyone have a bad experience with working out after donating? Maybe a light workout. I don't want to end up face down on the floor either though.

As a regular blood donor.......keep it very light today. You may not end up face down on the floor but feeling light headed and like you're going to puke during a very slow run is not a good feeling.....LFMF!0

Just keep it light and you should be fine. If you start feeling weak then rest and get low to the floor so if you do feel dizzy you won't risk injury from a fall.
I'm a regular donor and the only time I skip training is after a double RBC draw - that just wipes me out for the day.0 -

This and this!
Go for a long walk or an easy bike ride, or some yoga!0 -
I have never had a bad experience working out after giving blood the same day. Just listen to your body and you should be fine.0

I did my regular horseback riding lesson same day last time. Was a little light headed but otherwise fine. Make sure you hydrate!0

I have run after donating and regretted doing so. I always donate late in the day which allows me to get a run in earlier if I choose. Hydrate well as always.
As for working out in the gym... maybe if it's many hours later but I wouldn't go straight from the donor chair to pumping iron. Give the hole in your vein a little more time to fully heal up.
