Hello
I have been clean eating for about a year now. Started off using vegetable juicing to help me lose weight and quickly found my aches and pains disappeared when I stopped eating food!!! That led me on a journey of finding out what is in our food (very scary) and during that time I discovered clean eating.
Now I eat clean and still juice. I use juicing instead of snacking.
I have recently realised that I don't eat enough healthy fats and feel much better (and less hungry) since eating more over the last week. Does anyone use a high fat/low carb clean eating combo? The last couple of days have been tough trying to juggle it and today I had a banana and parsley smoothie (mainly because I didn't want to waste the fruit) and loved it! Plus some other carbs.
Still, I would like to explore whether high fat and clean eating could work and whether anyone has any high fat low carb clean eating type recipes they recommend.
Thanks

A lot of green juices include avocados, you could also add flax seed oil if you are not a fan of avocados.0

I want to say first that I love your picture!! 2nd & most importantly, on your post...
Hat's off to you for recognizing that a change in your diet with clean eating is one of the best places to start. Alot of people don't get that... Even just juicing for snacking alone is a smart choice, not only for the nutritional & fiber benefits, but helps huge in calorie control.
You mentioned aches & pains disappearing....it doesn't surprise me at all. It's not that you "stopped " eating "food", it's more of the "choices" of food's that you now consume instead. Let your grocery store be your pharmacy! (With the right choices of course)
I'm sure that youv'e seen the ENORMOUS list of preservatives & scary ingredients in most frozen foods! Looks more like a science project! Not to mention the increase of GMO foods! You would also benefit from reading up on identifying the "good" fats & "bad" fats; as well as the "good" carbs & bad carbs. (They are all not created equal.)Knowing the difference is also a huge help. Lastly, don't forget to look at the BLOG section of this app! You can get all of that information & much, much more there. Including tons of fabulous recipes! Hopes this can help!0 -

I am a huge fan of avocado. I have a juicer and smoothie maker - sometimes I juice then add the juice to a smoothie maker and include things like avocado. I used to include bananas (sometimes two!) - can't believe how many carbs are in one small (27 I believe).
Thanks for the oil tip though - will buy some flax seed oil and add that - makes sense

Thanks for the advice (and compliment ). Yes it does help. It was after my pain went away that I looked into food. I thought my aches and pains were 1. age - being late 40s and 2. lack of exercise. When I started searching I couldn't believe it.
I am learning the difference in carbs and sticking to complex carbs as much as I can.
