Climbing and Bouldering

Trying to lose weight for trad, sport, lead climbing and bouldering. I started at 205 and am down to 180, I used to surf everyday, used this app and got down to 172. Would like to get back to that point so I have less weight to pull while climbing. Anyone got any tips for in-between climbing sessions that helps burn calories? I moved from San Diego to a place just North of San Francisco. Can't surf during the week due to work so I'm hoping to figure out something else fun to do weeknights (going to a gym isn't my idea of fun btw).

Any climbing tips are welcomed here as well....

    how about riding a mountain bike? You close to any redwood forests? Its pretty nice around the frisco area and above. This could work your legs, get you calorie burns and have some nice scenic nature rides.
