I have this really weird thing with my body that happens when I stop working out for almost a week. I notice that whenever I go for a period of time without lifting weights or working out my body tends to really ache. My legs, my arms, back...

Is there any scientific article about this? I would like to learn more. It's kind of a good thing because it gives me another reason to workout. Also does anyone experience this also?

Only thing that hurts when I stop working out is my brain. >:)

What are you doing instead? Sitting more?

My guess is that maybe you stiffen up. Tight hip flexors, etc. Maybe try walking and stretching when you need to take a few days off (or just in general, actually), see if it helps.

If I'm working out consistently, I definitely tighten up if I stop. But that's usually bc if I stopped-it's for a reason-and I'm just not as active in general. Hope that makes sense
