Step tracker vs. walk (exercise)

last time I used this app it didn't track steps.... I tried logging in my 40 min walk and instead of adjusting the calories burned it seemed to double them. I even used the time stamp to be specific and it didn't seem to recognize & reconcile. Anyone know how this works? Any way to turn off the step tracker so I can just log exercise manually?

Disconnect your device from mfp. If you've got a fitbit etc synced with mfp, then you don't need to manually log your step based activities, as the device does it for you.

I have a Fitbit but have not used it. MFP is tracking from 'health' on iPhone.

In the MFP app, go to More > Steps and choose "Don't track steps."
