Exercise before a night of drinking?

Hi all, I have a question! :) I have been sticking to a health and fitness plan, but tonight I tend to go out drinking, I dont drink every weekend, but its nice every now and again to blow off some steam. I was just wondering, should I still workout? Does anyone have any knowledge if it would hinder results for just one time if i workout before a night of drinking? Or would it be pointless and take today as a 'rest' day?

    I think working out it always useful! Better do it before and take a rest day after a night out I think ;) Just have a proper meal in between!

    I always try and do a decent workout before going drinking to get a few calories in the bank. OK it probably doesn't cover all the calories that I'll be drinking but it makes me feel a lot better about it!

    If you can handle it, the morning after is also a good time to get a workout in, I find it blows away the cobwebs and the hangover!
