Beginning again, and hoping for sustained results this time. I have primarily used this tool as a calorie calculator. My wife uses it as a a social networking site too.
One of my problems with this site in the past was the pseudoscience and nonscience being spouted by the semi-informed on the boards. This morning as I read over some of the posts I was excited about how much myth debunking was going on. Whether it was body types, cleanses, detox, or carb free, people were inserting a little reality into the conversations.

Weight loss is accomplished by a daily caloric negative, and while there are many ways to get there, and many factors in how that happens, that is the ultimate goal of weight loss. Looking for the magic bullet is not the answer. Doubling down your effort to change your lifestyle is (I know, because this is where I have failed for decades). I have to change, before I run out of chances.

    Welcome to the trenches again! I did the same thing. Got caught up in the pseudo flavor of the month. Now it's just healthy choices, healthy food, and a positive attitude approach for me.

    Welcome back. If people would do their own research and verification of suggestions and ideas - we'd have a lot more successful losers and a lot less frustration for each one.
