Good luck to you! I am starting the advocare 24 day challenge today, hoping to lose some weight and stay on track since I spent the $$$ on this. LOL. I am hoping this will be the motivation and jump start that I need. I have done it before, but it's been a long time and I feel more focused now.

I don't understand everything you're saying, but, isn't "diet pills" meds? What effect are they supposed to have? And losing weight has nothing to do with luck, but burning more calories than you ingest, commitment, consistency, accuracy and patience.

You don't need diet pills. Diet pill won't help with maintenance (lifestyle changes will)....steps off soapbox. Most My Fitness Pal users just eat less and move more. Here are a few threads for newbies:

You don't need diet pills and with only 15 lbs to lose, you can win this battle. Set your goal to lose 1 lb/week, weigh and log all your food and you will lose that weight in 15-20 weeks or so. Don't think of this as a "diet" but a "lifestyle change".

Hey there, I am 50. I have been there, tried this, tried that. There is no "diet" pill that works. We all want instant gratification. I have learned many things over the years. I have tried just about every diet out there. I don't have much to lose either but what I do have is hard to lose. So, now I know it will take time and I have to watch my calories AND make really good choices. It's trial and error. So, the best I've got for you is protein, vegetables, fruits, nuts and healthy fat. It works. No grains (too genetically modified) No dairy ( dairy is to get baby cows fat)
I know I will get hate responses for that. But It works. Try it for a week and see how you feel. Then decide. Good luck! I'm on day 5 and my stomach has shrunk...a lot.
