My Dr prescribed Phentermine. Does anyone have experience with this?

My Dr prescribed Phentermine about a week and a half ago, I'm also on Topiramate for Migraines. Does anyone have any experience with this combination? I'm just curious as to what I should expect.

No experience with the combination but I have took phentermine. It will definitely help you reach your goals because it will suppress your appetite. The negative for me was coming off the medicine and the appetite coming back! I gained half of what lost back in 3 months. All I wanted to do was eat. Good luck and be prepared to control your self once you come off the medicine.

I don't have any experience with it but I went off a med (amphetamines for adhd) and gained 25 lbs because of the same sort of side effect -appetite coming back and no control over it.

I was prescribed the same medication about three weeks ago and I was advised to break it in half and take half before lunch and half before dinner. Seems to be helping. I've lost about 10 lbs. Lots more to go though.
