I thought this would be a fun thing.

I'll give it a try from what I can remember since I knew this kind of stuff back in the 80's.

    1. abs, calfs, heart.
    2. positive is the hardest part of the rep (when the muscle compresses), negative is the easier part of the rep (when the muscle lengthens).
    3. first set stimulated the quick flex fiber, second set exhausts the quick flex fiber and stimulates the slow flex fiber, and the third set exhausts the slow flex fiber. This causes complete muscular breakdown.
    4. train at your THR for at least 20 minutes.
    5. 3 (according to Mr. owl).

    1. Too many to list. Eyes, heart, etc.
2-4. Don't know, not even sure about some of the terminology.
    5. Three, I think. I don't remember. Less than I'd thought when the question was first presented, anyway. :)

    1. What muscles can be worked every day? Every muscle can and really should be worked every day. Just not to the extremes of heavy lifting or HIIT.
    2. What is the positive part of a rep, and what is the negative part of a rep? I see it more as tighten and release, no negatives for me and weights :P
    3. why is it important to do 3 sets when doing muscular training? It's not.
    4. What must you do to get the minimum training affect when doing cardio training? Move.... it's still gonna be better than say not moving.
    5. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop? One really hard bite.

    1. What muscles can be worked every day?
All muscles can be worked everyday. However the intensity and resistance used against them will dictate whether or not it's conducive to what goal one has in mind for their physique.
    2. What is the positive part of a rep, and what is the negative part of a rep?
Also positive is known as concentric in lifting and negative is known as eccentric. Eccentric is theorized as to why sarcoplasmic hyertrophy occurs.
    3. why is it important to do 3 sets when doing muscular training?
If hypertrophy is to occur, then volume (sets) have been identified as an important factor. Too little doesn't stimulate muscle fiber as much.
    4. What must you do to get the minimum training affect when doing cardio training?
Well this depends. Aerobic training can be done by just walking as a moderately fast pace. However increasing one's actual cardiorespiratory endurance would mean moving at a much faster pace for about 20 minutes.
    5. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

And don't just google to get the answers...:)

Can you read my answers above and let me know if they still hold true?

I learned this stuff in the military back in the 80's, and just want to insure that things have not changed too much since then as they did with the bulking up thing...:)

    And thank you.
