Calories in general are important for muscle building, but not so much veggies. That is NOT to say ignore your veggies. They are great for you. But for muscle building, you mainly want to focus on a caloric surplus, mainly protein at 0.60-0.80 grams per 1 lb. bodyweight, and a proven training regimen with a focus on progressive overload.
