I'm 167 pounds and 5'8. How much weight would you recommend me loose for a healthy more confident body

For a 5'8" female, anything between 121.7 and 164.4 pounds is considered a healthy weight according to BMI. Of course, it's difficult to pinpoint an exact weight that you will feel best at -it's best to shoot to get into the healthy BMI range and then slowly lose until you find a weight you are happy to maintain at.

Yeah not a single person can tell you that

But I can tell you I'm 5'8 and at my goal weight at 160lbs because I lifted whilst losing the last 54lbs

If you're not happy with your body follow a progressive lifting programme ...makes a huge difference

^That site allows you to put in you height and different weights and see pictures of real women at those different weights.

Once you're in the normal weight range it comes down to personal preference/other health indicators, like cholesterol, blood pressure, waist-to-hip-ratio.

I've noticed that people on this site who are overweight tend to aim for the high end of the BMI scale. Then they get there, aren't 100% satisfied, and decide to lose more weight. You can pick a number and reevaluate as you go.

I started at 167 and I am also 5'8". I set my goal at 145. That was 5 years ago. I got to my goal and have been trying to maintain since then. I've exercised consistently since then but put some weight back on. In April I was up to 155 so started MFP again. My goal now is 140 and I'm only 3 pounds away! I could lose more- another 10 pounds at least- but I really need to maintain at 140 for a while. I'll probably just stay there. Realistically with my lifestyle and age (50) it's good enough.
