Hi I'm new to the group & im just sooo disappointed in myself. I'm a certified health and wellness coach. I assist people all day everyday with their eating. They loose 20-40 lbs , but I can't seem to keep myself on track . I go through the yo yo , and it's becoming harder as I get older. I feel physical issues with my body because of the inconsistency. I must loose 50 lbs and keep it off for my physical health. Any tips, advice or just words of encouragement

Focus on how to be more consistent and understand what is keeping you off track. Log your foods and see which ones you need to cut back or do without.

You are already helping people lose weight. Use their weight loss as motivation. Use your degradation in health as motivation. 40+ doesn't mean that everything goes down hill quickly. I made major changes that I didn't think was possible at my age. I may not be faster but I am definitely stronger and healthier. Build your own support group as well where you are not necessarily seen as the one everyone is looking towards for leadership, just comradery. MFP is a good place for that if you have the right friends.

Today will be my new beginning of logging EVERYTHING accurately. I have to learn how to keep everyday stress to a minimum & not allow it to consume my entire life. THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE

Greetings ms bugione. Im some what new my self. I have similar issues as well! I do know that nothing beats consistency. In our workouts, being active, and how we are eating. I just try and find a way that works for me, and that I can make apart of my daily life. My goal is to drop about 50lb as well. and reshape my body with more muscle less fat. I find my body stubborn to change after 40 yrs old. but It eventually fall in line when Im consistent with my work. I hope we can motivate one another to stay on track!

Thank you, I hope we can motivate one another as well. You are absolutely correct after 40 it seems like everything that I've done in the gym in the past , now I'm injuring myself or damaged. I have no cartilage in my knee and a severe bulging slipped disc in my back that presses on my sciatica nerve. But I've learned how to work around the back thing. Now I'm trying to figure out different exercises for my knee that don't cause me so much pain.

If you are helping others lose weight, then you know what you need to do, you are just having trouble staying accountable. I would suggest finding someone in your field that can be your weight loss coach. Maybe they will offer a professional discount?

I get it. I'm a nurse I educate people daily on a proper diet and exercise. And I would even eat healthy at mealtimes. But in between I would stuff my face with more junk food than anyone should eat on a month. The thing that has given me the willpower to stick to my plans this time around has been hiring a personal trainer. in addition to my workouts, he texts me to encourage me to stick to my
diet and workout on mydays off from him. It really has made all the difference. it is expensive, but worth it!

You will accomplish your goal weight, just get crackin'!
